I didn’t choose to study this ancient art. A friend introduced it to me many years ago when I was struggling with chronic UTIs and Western medicine had failed me, yet once again.
As I dove head first into the subject, I constantly found myself wanting to turn the page, or turn the corner, to see where I was being led, and I find myself still today, on the same path, wanting to learn more about The Way.
I’ve always been a “big picture” kind of person, wanting to see the whole picture in order to understand the individual parts. And this is what Chinese Medicine is all about. It looks at your entire system… body, emotions, and spirit, to enable a true awareness of the deeper issues underneath your symptoms.
Now as you can see, I’m not your average ancient arts practitioner. I’m not old, I’m not Asian, and I’m definitely not “calm”. Rather, I’m a sun-shiny, high-energy California girl from the valley who loves to shop, laugh, drink bourbon, and go dancing. My main goal in life is to have FuN! I’m constantly looking for the next thing that will light me up and get me excited.
The funny thing is I’ve worked in finance for 25 years. Something I’ve learned from being in this industry is that I’m really good at explaining complex systems in easy-to-follow stories. But I’m not like the others in that industry either. Put me in a room with a group of financial planners and I am the lighthouse in the fog.
So, circling back….what I truly want, what I’ve always wanted, is to feel good in my body.
When I feel good in my body, I have more energy. When I have more energy, I can do more FuN stuff!
And there you have it, this is why I practice Qigong. So that I can feel good and do more FuN stuff!
It really is that simple.
I share Qigong because I want more good feeling bodies to encompass this Earth. It’s way more enjoyable to be around others who feel good, have energy, and love life!
Do you want to have more energy?
Do you want to understand yourself on a deeper level?
Do you want to finally get to the bottom of those physical symptoms and ailments that keep showing up in your life and you constantly find yourself asking, why this again?
If you do, then come practice with me.
And if you are similar to me and want to dive in head first, you can start with my 10 Day Intro to Qigong.
I guarantee you will feel better and I promise to do my best to make you laugh and have some FuN!
Not once have I ever heard anyone say, “Man, I wish I didn’t practice Qigong today!”
And I doubt I ever will!
