The Primordial State of Being

A Rare and Powerful Healing from the Ancient Taoists

These accessible, meditative exercises cultivate, rejuvenate and revitalize one’s Qi by blending the primordial forces of Yin and Yang with the internal energy and intelligence of the body and mind.

Hun means undifferentiated unity, the state of mind and being that occurs when one does not divide the world into concepts. In other words, Hun is equivalent to inner silence. Yuan means origin, or original. Hun with Yuan becomes the concept Hun Yuan, the Primordial State of Being.

The term Hun Yuan is synonymous with the Tao itself.

Hun Yuan is the Primal Beingness that both precedes and underlies all creation. The goal is to become Hun Yuan in order to disolve the vail that we are separate from Heaven and Earth.

Hun Yuan Qigong relies on the intention of the mind to direct Qi and movement.  Like other Qigong systems, it focuses on well being and longevity, correcting all sorts of imbalances, whether the body is too Yang, as in autoimmune disease or inflammatory conditions, or too Yin, as in immune deficiency conditions or  internal and/or external energy depletion.

The Hun Yuan set circulates new Qi into the physical body and energy systems through the fascia and the meridians and is practiced in a series of 9 sections.

Typically, each section will be practiced in multiples of 9. The number 9 is auspicious in Chinese philosophy, being the number of Heaven, and therefore symbolizing the fusion of Yin and Yang. Nine is the highest number before going back to zero, and in that sense, also symbolizes eternity.

Hun Yuan Qigong is one of the most powerful and comprehensive methods of energy cultivation. Many people experience mental clarity and an abundance of energy after practicing this set.
